There is _no_ fact that leads to god. I’m very sorry to bring it to you but there is none what so ever.
No matter how you spin it, your agnostic yourself, even in weird ways like you say you don’t believe in Judaism or Islam while theological these are the same god. So if you believe in GOD you also must believe in JAWEH and ALAH the only different is the version number of your type of faith. (1.0 Judaism, 2.0 Christianity and 3.0 Islam)
As much as people hate it if you start counting Athiesm or Agnostics did more good for the world then religion did and less harm, yes that is even if you count Hitler and WW-II as part of the Athiest bucket, though that’s not entirely fair since Hitler was not an Athiest. This is because if we start counting almost all the good things or scientific things in life must be attributed to science and Athiesm.
And since faith healing has a very poor track record and modern medicare a very good one there is almost no limit to how many lives not believing, in a magical god that will save you and you don’t have to do anything when you or anybody else is sick, has saved.
So no, it’s not ’safe’ to give religious believe a try. For the same reason that heroine is not safe to try. There is a high change that you’ll like it and for all the wrong reasons.
There is a good change that one _will_ like it, not because there is a god, but because the religious structure is, specially for newbies, a very good organized one to make you happy / feel good. There’s nothing better then telling, you are bad and doomed, but come here and i will safe you and you can be happy.
This is real happiness, but it’s also a con-trick. Since the premise on which you apparently gained that happiness is false. If you really want to know why this happens please try and study some neuro-psychology. It’s not an easy subject, but there are many good introductionary video’s out there.
Im going to have to agree with most of this…
You know, i believe alot of this is true. Should I remind you of movies such as the running man etc, can you not see how its already forming… oh well, I really enjoy these types of things, even to just question what we believe as a society.
